Deep Seat/Balance Riding Lessons are available for every riding discipline. No matter if you are a beginner or have many years of riding experience – learn to ride relaxed, sit deeper, feel more confident, as well as, secure and learn to ride your horse by using your seat properly. Have a horse and just can't come to Free Spirit Farm . . . .   We are taking our lesson program on the road and you can now take lessons on your horse and at your farm!

Riders will learn to ride using a soft hand and a deep, balanced and following seat on horseback. Rider exercises will be done both on the ground, as well as, mounted at the walk, trot and canter!

Beginners will learn ground handling and how to ride a horse quickly and effectively while having fun. Emphasis is placed on safety at all times.

For those who already have some riding experience and are not feeling as secure as they should be on horseback or are having problems with their horse, you would be amazed at how just one lesson can improve your riding and relax your horse – no matter what discipline you ride!

Day time, evening and week-end lessons available in covered riding arena for year round riding.

Riding Clinics:

Learn the fundamentals of balance riding and how it improves your seat and your horse’s way of going in just one lesson!

Clinics are available to groups that would like to improve their riding skills and seat or to fix any horse related problems under saddle. A clinic can be held at your farm or ours with limited spaces available and sign up required in advance. Call for more information on pricing and date availability.

Instructors bios:

Rosanne Vaccaro - Owner, Horse Trainer & Riding Instructor has had 25+ years experience working with horses and Teaching Deep Seat/Balance Riding Lessons in New Jersey. She is the drill master for Hitchin' aStride Mounted Youth/Adult Drill Team, as well as, the leader of Horsin' Around 4H Youth Horse Club for the past 5 years teaching hands-on learning all about horses to youth grades 4 - 13. As a riding instructor Rosanne teaches all disciplines of riding – English, Western, Dressage, Jumping, Reining, as well as, Speed Events. Students are from the age of 7 through adult and they learn all about horses and how to safely handle and ride. No student is ever held back from learning how to ride and most learn to walk, trot and canter within the first few lessons.

Becky Greco - graduate of Wilson College with a double major in equestrian studies; teaching, training and business management. While at college she received several awards including the Wilson Equestrian Award, which is the highest honor given to any equestrian student at the college. Becky competed in local N.J. horse shows as a teenager in both hunt seat and pleasure driving events and competed on the Intercollegiate Hunt Seat Equestrian Team, as well as, on the Mounted Drill Team and Dressage Teams while in college. She completed a one year internship at the UVM Morgan Horse Farm where she learned all aspects of training and caring for horses. Becky teaches both English and Western riding lessons utilizing a deep seat/balance ride method of riding exclusive to Free Spirit Farm. She also applies her knowledge of training horses to each lesson so that the rider learns the fundamentals of training a horse, as well as, becoming a confident rider.
