Here at Free Spirit Farm we believe that the horse is an animal that possesses great beauty, spirit, power & strength, as well as, dignity. You have to know a horse to be able to work with it! Understand why your horse does what he does and learn to communicate more effectively and effortlessly.

Starting/Retraining Horses:

We start horses under saddle without it being stressful to the horse in any way. Horses are able to learn quickly and are taught to relax under saddle and enjoy their work.

Problems under saddle:

When we riders run out of tools we all resort to shove, kick, smack, pull and pray; but long before this we start having negative effects on our horses. Horses are born with the ability to read us like a book, and they play on our weaknesses, evolving their evasive patterns around the loopholes that we offer them. They mirror us in both our rightness and our wrongness. Also, they know our bottom line and how determined we are.

Through educating the rider, any problem(s) under saddle can be resolved in just 15 minutes! When you change, your horse changes as you are the key to evasions, limitations and attitudes that many would attribute to the horse alone. The impact you have on your horse is far greater than you may realize.

When training is done right, it can be that simple, so simple it can seem like magic!

Cost:

$ 75.00 per hour for horses trailered in for a one hour session

$775.00 per month for full board and training package

We have placed a temporay hold on offering horse breaking/training to anyone who does not board their horse at Free Spirit Farm.  If you need help and can board with us for a month or so, give us a call!

We are still offering our trailer in for a training riding lesson to fix a specific problem under saddle.  You will learn how to stop unwanted behavior under saddle.
